Our Difference

Equipment Capacity & Capability:

Our dedicated machinery for grinding, coupled with our very high-level capabilities for meticulous and knowledgeable hand finishing (as required) results in absolute uniformity, sheet by sheet … surfaces entirely free of blemishes, scratches, blisters and other unsightly defects. Our grinding machines can grind down to .008″ with a tolerance of + / – .001″.

Skilled and Knowledgeable Workforce:

Precision Metal Grinding beginnings are rooted in the requirements of the aircraft industry. Our earliest work, involved preparation of skins for the then-new generation aircraft. And, over the years, our precision grinding capability has expanded to where we now can grind any alloy to meet the requirements for any industry.

Company Experience and Technical Skills to meet Industry Demands:

Our relations with aerospace organizations has allowed us to fine-tune and perfect two related techniques:

1. Grind titanium and aluminum sheet to a defect free surface where its quality (blemish free and uniform finish) supersedes what the mills are able to produce.

2. Repair skin sections blemished during production to a uniform, consistent finish to achieve an even thickness match with other sheet sections. Where blemishes mar the skin, the area is checked to ascertain that the defect has not penetrated the cladding. This area is then worked carefully to remove the blemish and to attain uniform thickness with the surrounding area. In no case is more material removed than the depth of the defect.

Message from the President

Western Case is a privately held company with a team that knows blow molding, plastic forming and partners a wide variety of customers across multiple industries.

We have been deeply involved with blow molding and plastic forming in the last 40 plus years of company history. We are specialists in blow molding and logistics services. Many of the roadways in service today contains our work.

At Western Case we are a leader and pioneer in the category of blow molding. Blow molding is important for quality in a variety of consumer, industrial, and medical goods. I feel the sense of appreciation toward plastic forming and the hands-on tradtion has faded because of the rise of automation.

We welcome automated processes in our industry but I wonder and question if the current trend in advancement will achieve the experience of the human eye.  I believe bringing more complete approach to plastic forming and blow molding leads to better quality products, that is why I always say “our employees are our biggest asset!”

At Western Case we strive to passionately create impressive value in the beginning and end of the supply chain.  It is our ultimate mission and sheer pleasure if we turn plastic pellets from dull and lifeless to something that is technically perfect in record time.
